How do I test?
My consultation is a personal, face-to-face service. The testing is done with a Dietx electro-dermal screening machine and is painless and non invasive. It does not involve any needles or bodily samples, nor does it require you to ingest or touch any of the products we are testing.
I will ask you to hold a metal cylinder in your dominant hand whilst I place food and drink ampoules into the machine’s electromagnetic circuit. Then I’ll use an acupuncture point on your other hand to complete the circuit. If the food item does not agree with you, it creates an abnormal reading, known as resistance.
I also offer online consultations for those of you who are unable to get to my clinic, where we will discuss any symptoms/issues you are currently having and your full health history. I will then provide you with nutritional and vitamin and mineral supplementation advice to get you on the road to feeling better!
What do I test?
I have over 100 foods, drinks, vitamins and minerals to test, from all of the major food groups, including dairy, grains, fruits, vegetables, seeds, meats, fish, alcohols and additives.
Who can be tested?
Both adults and children can be tested.
Unfortunately, anybody who has a pacemaker cannot be tested.
How long will the test take?
An appointment will take around one hour to complete. This time includes:
Discussion of your overall health and reasons for wanting the test
Testing for foods/drinks/vitamins/minerals
The results
Advice on eliminating problem foods and alternatives you can have instead
What should you bring with you?
I have a large number of foods and drinks so most people do not need to bring anything with them for the test. However if you have any less common foods that you eat regularly and would like to be tested for, then feel free to bring a small sample.
You are also welcome to bring with you any household products that you think may be causing you issues such as:
Your washing powder/liquid
Fabric conditioner
Soap, shower or bath gels
Moisturisers
Fake tan or sun cream
Shampoo and conditioner
How do you book an appointment?
Please use the online booking page to book an appointment.
If you need to reschedule for any reason, you will be able to do this via the online booking system up to 48 hours in advance.
A deposit will be taken to secure your appointment and the rest of the payment can be made on the day of your appointment. I can accept payment by cash or bank transfer. Alternatively, there is an option to pay for your appointment in full at the time of booking should you wish to do so.
Any cancellations made within 48 hours of the appointment time will not receive a deposit refund.
What qualifications do I have?
I am a qualified food intolerance therapist with a diploma from the College of Naturopathic Nutrition in Allergy Intolerance Therapy (Dip AIT).
I have also completed training in Dietx testing operations procedure and Nutritional/Intolerance Counselling clinical practice.
